My "SPICY" Cabbage Soup....

Ok so this is a wonderful soup recipe suggested by my mom and if I hadn't gotten carried away with my German Knorr seasoning and my black pepper I'm sure it wouldn't have been so spicy. ;) I sautéed onion and 2 garlic cloves in a little bit of oil and then added cabbage, fennel, parsley, and carrots. I let it cook down for 5 min and then added the vegetable bullion and water. Like I mentioned, it did turn out a little spicy but that's nothing a little rice won't cure.

This is the first time I have ever made a soup other then chicken noodle and I have to say I love the idea of taking "random" things out of the fridge, mixing them in a pot and having a meal for days! I love the taste of cabbage cooked as well as raw and am totally open to any cabbage recipe suggestions.
